Afghan Foreign Minister calls on PPP
Co-Chairman

Islamabad April 23, 2008: The Foreign Minister
of Afghanistan Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta today called on PPP Co-Chairman
Senator Asif Ali Zardari in Zardari House in Islamabad.
He was accompanied by Afghan Ambassador in Islamabad Mr. Anwar Anwarzai, Mr.
Abdul Khaleq Farahi Afghan Council General in Peshawar and senior officials
of the Afghan Foreign Ministry.
The PPP Co-Chairman was assisted by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi,
Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik, Minister for Kashmir and
Northern Areas Qamar Zaman Kaira and Minister for State and Frontier Regions
Najmuddin Khan.
The Afghan Foreign Minister condoled the assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma
Benazir Bhutto.
He also felicitated the PPP Co-chairman on the Party's victory in the
elections and hoped that the relations between the two governments would
improve. Matters of mutual interest were also discussed in the meeting.
The Afghan foreign Minister also invited the PPP Co-Chairman to visit
Afghanistan which he accepted.
