Islamabad April 21, 2008: Spokesperson of the PPP former Senator Farhatullah Babar has issued the following statement today.

A luncheon meeting was held today in the Punjab House Islamabad between PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif and PPP Co-Chairman Senator Asif Ali Zardari.

The meeting took stock of the situation and reviewed the progress made after the Bhurban Declaration calling for the restoration of sacked judges through a resolution in the Parliament.

The meeting was also attended by PPP Federal Ministers Farooq Naek, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Sherry Rehman, and Rehman Malik and PML-N leaders Mr. Shahbaz Shairf, Raja Zafarul Haq and Khawaja Asif.

The two leaders reviewed the progress made thus far and decided to meet again tomorrow on Tuesday.
